With grid transparency of 80% or more sensors (motion, smoke, fire) can be installed above the ceiling without losing range. This is met by a cell size of 100×100 mm or larger — below this size the grid is too dense.
Open cell ceilings — what types are there
Open cell ceilings are a metal grid suspended on an exposed grid or a T-grid — an open structure that doesn't hide installations above the ceiling and allows easy service access. We offer three variants. Structurally, all are based on the same grid with a 40 mm profile height — they differ in cell geometry or the way they're fixed to the slab.
If you're not sure where to start — the classic open cell ceiling with a 100×100 mm cell is a universal choice, that works in almost any commercial interior: offices, restaurants, shops and shopping malls. That's why it's our standard — the other variants are chosen for specific needs.
CLASSIC Standard — the basic and most popular variant of open cell ceiling. Square cells in eight sizes, from 50×50 to 200×200 mm, the standard is 100×100 mm — this ratio gives a good balance between airiness and covering installations, which is why it works almost anywhere. Exposed grid, self-supporting installation, available from stock in black, white and silver.
Where to use it: offices, restaurants, shops, shopping malls, receptions, corridors — universally wherever fast delivery and a proven design matter.
LINEAR — the same construction and profile height as the classic variant, but a different cell geometry: rectangular, e.g. 300×50, 300×100, 300×200 mm. The effect is a clear, directional line pattern on the ceiling.
Where to use it: corridors, elongated interiors, circulation routes — wherever you want to draw the eye along the space.
GLK — the same cell sizes as the classic variant (50–200 mm), but installed on a T-grid instead of an exposed grid. This is a separate installation system. Available only in white.
Where to use it: buildings where a T-grid fits the slab construction better — e.g. when a tile ceiling on the same grid type is already being installed in the same room.

Our open cell ceilings have all the required certificates — fire resistance class A2, CE certificate and a data sheet. Available as PDF.
The whole process — from raw material to the finished profile — takes place in our own factory, nothing is outsourced. Watch how a TWINMAX open cell ceiling is made.

We are the manufacturer — we supply the material and carry out the installation.
Use a laser level to mark the ceiling height line and the hanger installation points on the slab.
Install the wall angle around the entire perimeter of the room, along the marked line.
Fix eyelet wires and system hangers to the slab with anchors — at the points marked during layout.
Hang them on the hangers and join them with connectors. Start and end the layout with a main profile at least 300 mm from the wall.
Join them to the main profiles at right angles — this creates a 600×600 mm grid ready for infill.
First, on a flat surface, assemble grid tiles from the top and bottom profiles (F and M) into a 600×600 mm module. Fill the grid with the finished tiles from the centre of the room towards the walls. Cut the pieces near the walls to size with sheet metal shears.
Each of these steps is described in more detail — with technical drawings and a tool list — in the installation manual PDF.
